Established in 2015, a majority of our work so far has been focused on custom pieces for the entertainment lighting and custom film prop manufacturing. This experience has taught us to be quick, flexible, efficient, and have quick turn arounds.

Technology

DDM’s patented 3D printing technology combining proprietary hardware, software and materials eliminates all up-front tooling and replaces 7 out of 12 steps in traditional metal investment casting with a single 3D printing step. This enables precision metal castings to be made 10 times faster and at 50% of the prevailing cost with 30% less energy consumed. DDM currently produces metal castings for OEMs, and sells its printed ceramic shells and cores to foundries, enabling them to rapidly manufacture castings without any upfront investment in tooling, a key requirement in traditional investment casting. DDM's Digital Foundry technology greatly accelerates time to market for new component designs while also enabling the on-demand manufacture of spares and upgrades without any tooling. DDM’s future vision is to create and operate a fully vertically integrated digital foundry with recurring revenue streams through sales of “parts as a service” and subscription-based proprietary cloud-based design software.
